Welcome to The Learning Ladder’s Summer Kindergarten Academy Program. Our Kindergarten Academy is for students ages 2, 3, 4 & 5. This program is a perfect mix of fun and academics designed to make sure children are successful in school. How do we ensure this happens? We mix fun with learning!
We follow all New York Forward and Department of Health Covid Guidelines.
All Staff & Children wear masks
Frequent Handwashing and Hand Sanitizing
All toys/games sanitized frequently throughout the day
All High Touch areas in the classroom and building are sanitized frequently
We observe Social Distancing Guidelines
Campers go outside everyday (weather permitting)
Sample Schedule
8 am to 8:30 am - Breakfast
8:30 am to 9 am - Table Games/Activities
9 am to 10 am - English Language Arts
10 am to 11 am - Outdoor Water Games/Outdoor Activities
11:30 am to 12 pm - Lunch
12 pm to 1 pm - Quiet Activities/Rest Time
1 pm to 2 pm - Fun With Math!
2 pm to 2:30 pm - Snack
2:30 pm to 3:30 pm - Outdoor Activities
3:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Center Time (Blocks, Kitchen, Dramatic Play, Kinetic Sand, Games etc.)
4:00 pm - Dismissal
Summer Kindergarten Academy introduces and reinforces Math, Literacy, Science, Creative Arts and Social Skills. See below for some of the Literacy concepts our students will learn:
Exposure to alphabet: letter names and sound & retell familiar stories
Draw pictures and dictate sentences about stories and experiences
Answer questions about stories & repeat simple nursery rhymes
Phonological Awareness: rhyming, syllables, alliteration
Concepts of print: left to right direction, holding a book right-side-up
Build new vocabulary & listening skills
Develop fine motor skills: play dough, scissors, writing utensils, Legos, etc.
Students learn how to identify letters in the alphabet and their sounds
Students learn about letters and sounds that go together to form words
Students will begin to read small words.
Students learn to print letters and will work on developing fine motor skills as they learn to write the alphabet in both capital and lowercase letter

Kindergarten Academy runs from July 8th to August 23rd
Kindergarten Academy is for students aged 3, 4, & 5 years old

Program Hours - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (7 am to 3 pm on Fridays only)
